BookTube-a-Thon: Day Two

Hey guys,

Day two of BookTube-a-Thon has arrived and I’m here with an update. Thus, far, I’ve finished one book in this read-a-thon journey. Yesterday, I completed Simon vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda. I was supervisor excited to dive into this book because the main character is completely different from myself.

I have a confession. I read many similar characters. By that, I mean, I tend to read books with white, heterosexual, female characters. I really need to expand my horizons and dip into some different point-of-views. I can honestly say that Simon vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda was a great book to start this journey!!

Firstly, I love Simon! His personality is so cute and I love, loved how his character is portrayed. Between his slang and profanity, I fell in love. He has spunk.

Secondly, I was surprised by the outcome of the story because I thought I had it figured out the whole time. I was definitely wrong.

I’m excited to pick up the Upside of Unrequited next. This is an author I will be following!

Let me know in the comments below how your BookTube-a-Thon is going or what the last book you read was!

xoxo Samantha

I’m doing the Biannual Bibliothon, but I have finished 3 books and I am so close to finishing my fourth. So far I’ve read Sandman Vol 6 by Neil Gaiman, The Wicked + The Divine Vol 5 by Kieron Gillen, and Dead Poets Society by N.H. Kleinbaum. My almost finished read is Last Call at the Nightshade Lounge by Paul Krueger. Next up on my reading list is Flame in the Mist by Renee Ahdieh.

Happy reading and good luck with the rest of BookTube-a-Thon!
