October TBR (Halloween Edition)

Hey guys,

It is officially my favorite season of the year. YES. Plus, we’re quickly approaching All Hollows Eve. In preparation for this ghoulish holiday, I will be participating in the Halloween Read-a-Thon by @wonderlessreviews. I’m reading for some frighteningly good reads:

076365633xA Monster Calls by Patrick Ness

Woah! Talk about a spooky, creepy cover. I don’t know much about this book besides that it follows a boy named Conor. A monster comes to him at night looking for the truth. What truth? I have no idea.

A Darker Shade final for IreneA Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab

Hey, this book makes it yet again to my TBR. I’ve actually already begun to read it. The book follows Kell, a rare magician who is able to travel between parallel universes.

5628daba352faGirl on the Train by Paula Hawkins

I’m planning on reading this book for a family book club before going out and seeing the movie. The book follows a woman named Rachel who takes the train every day. And every day she checks in on the couple that she has always seen on her path. Until one day, something goes wrong and Rachel goes to the police to report what she’s seen.

16248247Unnatural Creatures by Neil Gaiman

I was in the bookstore today and just so happened to come across this anthology. I am so excited for this! Neil Gaiman selected and contributed to this group of short stories about werewolves, sunbirds, and other unexpected creatures.

27362503It Ends with Us by Colleen Hoover

I couldn’t resist, so I ended another Colleen to the mix. I will be listening to this book through Audible.com. This book follows a Lily who has just moved to Boston. By chance, she crosses paths with this neurosurgeon named Ryle who take on relationships is much different from her own.

I am very excited to get this reading list started. What haunted books are you planning to read in this wicked month?

xx Samantha

I finished a Monster Calls recently and I wasn’t wowed by it 😕 personally I think the story is better suited to be experienced visually (so the movie better be good!!) But it was still nice to read. Hope you enjoy it!
