Hey guys,
This month has been hectic. (Do I say that every month?) As much as I am craving fall, wrapping up summer is not a good time. I have certainly been slacking. Thankfully, I was able to get in a few good reads before the month ended.
1. The Assassin Game by Kristy McKay
Now, I know there has been a lot of mixed reviews on this book, but I enjoyed. Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t much of the horror/thriller that I was expecting, but it was still entertaining. I’ve said this before, but if you’re a Pretty Little Liars fan, it’d give this book a shot.
2. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone by J.K. Rowling
I finally did it, guys! I finished the first book in the Harry Potter series. I had a discussion with one of my good friends recently about the series. After explaining that I was having a hard time getting through it, she recommended I listen to the audio version of the book. I purchased it off audible and yes, yes, yes the reader was amazing. Thank you, audible and thank you, Jim Dale.
3. Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover
This book was on sale at bookoutlet.com. I’ve got to say, I was super excited to pick up another Colleen Hoover novel, especially before the summer ended. I definitely loved the characters and all their personalities, but I actually wasn’t too fond of some of the plot. It kinda freaked me out. If you’ve read Ugly Love, you probably understand.
And that’s it! Short list, but I still feel accomplished. 🙂
What books wrapped up your summer?
xx Samantha
I recently reread HP1 via audiobook and omg Stephen Fry is just THE BESTZ narrator. I can’t wait to experience all the other books that way now!

I’m glad I’m not the only one. I’ve only seen people hating on it.
