Hey guys!
These books arrived in a lovely package at my door step not to long ago. Of course, my brother was like…”Do you really need that many books?” ………. …………… ……….. WHAT KIND OF QUESTION IS THAT?!? #thingsnonreaderssay. He clearly does not understand me.
Anyways, here we go! These are the books I purchased in the month of June:
Since You’ve Been Gone by Morgan Matson
I was so excited when this book arrived because it is my giveaway purchase!! For entry information click here: Summer Giveaway.
This is definitely a perfect summer novel, much like many other Morgan Matson books. This story follows a girl name Emily who finds out that her best friend, Sloane has moved away with no notice at all. Sloane leaves behind a to-do list for Emily with tasks that are far beyond Emily’s comfort zone.
It’s really about a girl trying to find herself and her individuality.
All I Need by Susane Colasanti
Summer always gets me in the mood to read summer romance novels. All I Need is just that. It’s about a couple, Seth and Skye, who try to make their relationship work after summer has ended. Their relationship goes through various tests: trust issues, ex drama, and long-distance.
I have heard mixed reviews on this novel. But I feel like it’s going to be a quick read. Perfect for taking to the beach!
Hopeless by Colleen Hoover
After finishing the Slammed novels by Colleen Hoover, I needed to get more! Hopeless is another romance novel about a girl named Sky who is falling for a guy she knows is trouble. She seems to be struggling through things she has experienced in the past, but the synopsis does not give information away about that. Dean seems to also have his own secrets.
I’m really looking forward to reading this book!
The Dead Tossed Waves by Carrie Ryan
I read the Forest of Hands and Teeth so long ago. …Like years ago, but I am so excited for this book! I have been looking in used book stores for it since I finished the first of the series.
The Dead Tossed Waves takes place in a dystopian world that is swarming with the dead (basically zombies). I can’t wait to see how these characters develop…even if I do get a little scared reading. 😛
Beautiful Oblivion by Jamie McGuire
As you have probably already guessed, teen romance novels are really taking over this months purchases. However, I couldn’t not buy this book! It was only $1.99 for kindle this month. I read Beautiful Disaster not to long ago and loved it. So, I definitely needed to pick this one up.
This book is the beginning of the Maddox Brothers Series. It follows a girl named Cami whose summer plans get cancelled and she ends up having the summer completely free. She in meeting this guy named Trenton Maddox who has quite a bit of a reputation, she tries to avoid catching any feelings for him. The story follows the flourishing of their friendship that may lead to possible more?
There’s my June purchase. What books have you guys been buying?
